Awakening: Drill Punch Man!

Suddenly, an unknown virus spreads across the world, transforming people into monsters called “mutants” who begin attacking humans. Hayato, who had been living a peaceful life, witnesses his mother being devoured by a monster before his very eyes. In his deep despair, he himself awakens as a mutant. However, despite his awakening, he retains his sense of self. Years later, Hayato joins the police’s security department to avenge his mother’s death. But he soon learns that the mutants, previously thought to be mindless monsters, are plotting to dominate the human world.
